Ryoko is a freelance editor with a deep respect for Japanese tradition, art, and craftsmanship, and one of Cat & Travel's Special Guides.
Formerly an editor at the Japanese edition of Harper's BAZAAR, she covered fashion, lifestyle, art, food, travel, and design, while also serving as an international coordinator with the magazine's New York headquarters.
Having lived in New York and Los Angeles, Ryoko brings an international perspective and exceptional cross-cultural communication skills to the way she introduces Japan.
Drawing on her network of artists, artisans, and cultural specialists, she delights in sharing the people and traditions that sustain Japan's creative heritage.
HISASHI OGAWA
Hisashi Ogawa is a photographer whose work spans editorial, advertising, and commercial photography, and the photographer behind most of the images featured throughout the Cat & Travel website.
Over many years of working together on magazine assignments, he has become one of Naomi's most trusted creative collaborators. Whether photographing people, landscapes, or carefully crafted objects, Hisashi captures quiet moments with warmth, clarity, and an understated sense of beauty.
His photographs reveal the atmosphere, craftsmanship, and subtle details that often go unnoticed, inviting viewers to experience Japan with fresh eyes.
HACHIKIN CREATIVE
Hachikin Creative is a New York–based creative studio specializing in branding, digital marketing, and visual storytelling. Working across cultures and disciplines, the studio helps brands express who they are with clarity, purpose, and a distinct point of view.
